Hi, I’m so happy you’re here.
Whether you are first-time parents, or you’re welcoming another little one into your family, parenthood is a journey. Let me help you ease the transition in your family becoming something beautiful together.
A Chrysalis is one stage of the development of a butterfly. This metamorphosis is a time of transformation, the cocoon representing a net of both safety and comfort. The first 12 weeks after a baby is born plays a vital role in the parenting journey. The cocooning stage should be a time of healing, resting, and bonding with your baby. Often times we need support to make that happen, and that is the role of a postpartum doula.
What is a Postpartum Doula?
A cry is a form of communication. As a postpartum doula, I am here to answer your “cry”. This could be sleep support, breastfeeding support, assisting in newborn care and infant soothing, offering an extra set of hands in light housework, meal prep, and caring for older siblings, and helping you navigate emotions or mental health concerns postpartum.
Education + Advocacy
Postpartum doulas work for YOU and will advocate on your behalf. I can help you create a postpartum plan and assist you in carrying that plan out once baby is here. Although I am NOT a medical professional, I am well versed in normal postpartum healing and newborn behavior. My focus is supporting you emotionally and physically during the postpartum time.
community Connection
Postpartum Doulas are a great resource for referrals. I am passionate about getting to know providers in the area and having a data base of community support for families. Whether you’re looking for new parent support groups, lactation consultants, therapists, pet sitters, or specialized doctors I can help you navigate these resources to further support your postpartum journey.
